The Astesana Wine Route is structured as an Association, with public and private subjects that participate in the organisation as Members, all of whom can be visited, preferably subject to a prior telephone booking or e-mail.
To be one of the Astesana Members also means being responsible for the territory and actively involved in its promotion. Members include hundreds of economic operators who produce wine or grappa or other typical products, or tourist operators who organise receptions, hospitality, food and drink, transport, assistance for tourists, or artisan masters of taste, or cultural operators and museum guides, or truffle and mushroom gatherers.
All these people operate jointly in the development of the Astesana territory and to provide the warmest welcome for tourists and visitors. All of them seek to guarantee their guests a happy stay in the Astesana and hope that this territory will be remembered for its superb tastes and its genuine smile.
In addition, there are also 52 Mayors and as many Communes, all united in 4 hillside Commune Unions and one Mountain Community. They are:
- "Tra Langhe e Monferrato" Commune Union
- "Vigne e Vini" Commune Union
- "Via Fulvia" Commune Union
- "Valtiglione e dintorni" Commune Union
- Langa Astigiana Val Bormida Mountain Community
Asti City Council does not belong to these groups but operates separately.
